Support and Office Hours Available for CIP (sent March 30, 2026)

2025–26 Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Title II: Adult Education Family Literacy Act (AEFLA)

Dear Adult Educators:

To support agencies as spring planning concludes, Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP) resources and technical assistance remain available. Agencies are encouraged to participate in Virtual Office Hours, which provide an opportunity to ask questions and receive targeted guidance on CIP goal development prior to submission. These sessions are especially helpful for agencies new to the CIP or those seeking to strengthen goal alignment and clarity.

Upcoming Office Hours will be held on April 10, April 24, and April 29, 2026. Early registration is encouraged to ensure time for discussion. Register now.

As a reminder, the CIP is due Thursday, April 30, 2026. By now, agencies should have completed the following:

  • Reviewed the CIP webpage and guidelines
  • Viewed the recorded webinars
  • Reviewed and updated SMART goals
  • Explored the CIP portal using the “Start Plan” button
  • Reached out for technical assistance as needed by emailing support@otan.us

Please note that the CIP must reflect a status of “Accepted” before access is provided to the final expenditure claim. If revisions are requested, agencies should update and resubmit their CIP promptly. Additional details are available in the Continuous Improvement Plan Guide.

Thank you for your continued commitment to continuous improvement and to serving adult learners across California. We appreciate your ongoing efforts and engagement throughout this process.

If you have any questions, please contact the Adult Education Office by email at adulteducation@cde.ca.gov or by telephone at 916-322-2175.
